Iran short film 'Tulsa' wins Argentine award

Iran short film 'Tulsa' wins award at the 8th Int'l Film Festival of Political Cinema in Argentina.

Iranian short film 'Tulsa' has won an award at the 8th edition of the International Film Festival of Political Cinema (FICiP) in Argentina.

Directed by Seyyed-Parviz Shojaei, the Iranian short film received a special award of the jury at the FICiP 2018.

The 7-minute film went on the Argentine screen at a section titled Competencia Oficial Cortometrajes Internacionales (COIC) on May 19 and 21.

Tulsa is a city on the Arkansas River, in the US state of Oklahoma. The film is set in the city in 1921 and narrates the story of a young black boy.

It has been the fifth international experience of the Iranian short film. 'Tulsa' won another special award of the jury at the 12th edition of the Youngabout Film Festival in Italy.

The 8th edition of the International Film Festival of Political Cinema was held May 17-23, 2018, in the Argentinean capital of Buenos Aires.
